The St Munchin's College Bank Team are a team of students who are responsible for the setting up, and managing, their own school bank within the school as part of the A.I.B Build A Bank Challenge.
The team consists for the following 6 members:

• Mel Corbett 
• Philip Doherty 
• Eoin O'Riordan 
• Kieran Casey 
• Patrick Horan 
• Cian Long.

Branch Manager: Mel is effectively in charge of the bank. He has the position to get all the bank members working together using teamwork and conducts a weekly team meeting. Mel is an extremely well organised manager and works well with the bank team to get us all motivated.


Assistant Manager: Philip is responsible for the duties of the Manager and Auditor in their absence. Philip meets with new customers to open new accounts.

Auditor: Eoin's responsibilities are to oversee the recording of all the Lodgements in the school bank and balancing the ledgers. Eoin is in constant contact with the Tellers to make sure that the numbers add up to the cash we received, this is an important part of the Auditor's role within the School Bank. Eoin also is responsible for the sign-off of the ledger book each week..

Marketing & Sales Executive: Kieran is responsible for reminding our customers about the bank opening hours and advertises the bank using media, such as posters and announcements from classroom to classroom. Slide shows on the electronic noticeboard and using the intercom within the school. Kieran runs seasonal marketing strategies to promote the school bank such as raffles.Kieran also organises 'Promotional Weeks' in which free food and drinks are given out, eg, Bars of Chocolate or Crisps. This strategy proves very successful in attracting customers when we need to increase lodgement numbers.

Tellers: Patrick and Cian are in charge of taking in lodgements and writing up lodgements slips. They are in charge of keeping the money safe and are responsible for the handling of money. Patrick and Cian liaise with the Auditor concerning money taken in and the amount of money counted. This is a very important role along with all the other roles Patrick and Cian have. They, together provide the bank with excellent customer service.
